Performance Testing

Performance testing is vital but often overlooked, so MCR.TEST gave it a full evening at Matillion's New Bailey office. The session ran across three parts: theorycrafting, hands-on practical, and a pub quiz.

The evening opened with architecture analysis — attendees dissected a diagram to identify potential bottlenecks and design a test plan to challenge them. The practical session that followed covered front-end performance and mini load test creation using K6, with other tools available for those who preferred them.

The night closed with a performance testing pub quiz — three to four rounds of fundamentals, with a surprise music round to wrap things up. A well-rounded session that sent attendees home with real techniques to try.
