Front-End Automation Tooling

MCR.TEST returned to Matillion for an evening dedicated to front-end automation tooling. The first half was an open community discussion led by Gina Chelton — covering what's working, what isn't, and what tools teams are actually using day-to-day. Playwright, Cypress, and beyond all featured.

After food, Chris Done led a live Playwright coding challenge. Groups worked through exercises, with prizes going to the top-performing teams. The format kept things practical from start to finish — less slides, more doing — and gave both experienced practitioners and those newer to front-end automation plenty to take away.
